Req. No. NMAN7945-12-00089 NAICS: 324110 TITLE: DYED DIESEL PURCHASE FOR NOAA SHIP BELL SHIMADA IN NEWPORT, OR NOTICE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The information provided in response to this notice will assist the Government in identifying sources that are capable of furnishing the Office of Marine and Aviation (OMAO) with the requirements below. Objective/Background: NOAA's Office of Marine and Aviation Operations, has a requirement to provide 55,000 gallons of Dyed Marine Diesel #2, Ultra low or Low Sulfur Fuel. The vendor shall: 1. Deliver the fuel dockside via fuel truck at 2002 SE Marine Science Drive, Newport, OR 97365 on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012. 2. Pump the fuel onto the vessel using a transfer hose over water. Hose must be able to bolt into a 4 inch camlock fitting with an 8 bolt flange. Scope of Work: Transport and Deliver 55,000 gallons of Dyed Marine Diesel #2 fuel dockside to NOAA Ship Bell Shimada on Wednesday December 12, 2012 via fuel truck. Period of Performance: Performance begins and ends on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. The delivery date may change depending on the ships schedule. Vendor shall be given 7 days notice if a date change is required. Vendor Requirements: The vendor must be able to deliver all 55,000 gallons on Wednesday December 12th, 2012 at the location specified above. Any resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract. The NAICS code for this requirement is 324110 and the small-business size standard is 1500 employees. Interested firms shall provide, in writing, a brief narrative and documentation to support your firm's capability and experience meeting the requirements herein and include your firm's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, DUNS Number, CCR Cage Number, business type and size, i.e., small, large, non-profit, educational, and so forth. Any response that does not include this information will not be considered. The Government will review your response to determine if your firm has the experience, knowledge and capability to perform the services as specified above. This request for information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. Nor does this request for information constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise that any procurement action that may be issued for the Government's requirements. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of contractor's information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to be registered in SAM (System for Acquisition Management). In addition, completion of the online representation and certifications application (ORCA) is required. NOTE: THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT CONSIDERED A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BUT A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. No solicitation document is available. No contract will be awarded on the basis of responses received to this notice.
