- Description
- This procurement is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business seta-side. The work consists of construction of reinforced concrete floodwalls; levee construction; clearing and grubbing; painting; establishment of turf; placing crushed stone, bedding, geotextile; driving steel sheet piling, steel H-piles; excavation, structural excavation and backfill; surfacing; drainage systems; electrical systems; butterfly valves; demolition; construction of temporary flood protection and other incidental work. The estimated value of the proposed work is more than $10,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendor's List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to the solicitation. Issue date on or about 31 October 2012. Bid Opening will be held in Room 103, 4155 Clay Street, Vicksburg, Mississippi 39183 with a date and time of : 29 November 2012, 1400 hours. Bid Opening may be viewed in person or online at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/bids/bids.htm. This procurement is issued under NAICS Code 237990, FSC Code Y1PZ, for a firm fixed price contract. Funds are currently available for this acquisition. Right of Way is not presently available for this acquisition; therefore, bids will not be opened and contract award will not be made until all necessary right-of-way is available.
