- Details for sources sought synopsis. Details for sources sought synopsis. Details for sources sought synopsis. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting market research of industry to identify sources of repair that meet Air Force requirements. This is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bid. There will be no reimbursement for the information provided. The PATS (Portable Automated Test System) group of the 516 SXMS/MXDED is building test systems for O-Level maintenance and repair. The O-Level environment can consist of using the PATS in exposed outside weather conditions. To ensure high reliability in these exposed weather conditions, the supporting hardware is made up of COTS hardware with customized components. These customized components add a higher reliability in wear and tear and longer mean time between failures (MTFB) to meet customer requirements. The Attachments Cable (201226972) Draft and Cable (201227535) Draft are examples of 2 typical specialty cable assemblies that need to be procured under a contract with their necessary corresponding requirements. There will be 14 different specialty cables and we'll need 54 or 83 each (to be specified later) of all 14 different specialty cables. Any deviation from the assets listed in the Attachments Cable (201226972) Draft and Cable (201227535) Draft is prohibited due to meeting customer exposed weather condition requirements and MTFB requirements. The PATS is a major O-level maintenance and repair program for the USAF. This activity will procure the assets necessary to repair and maintain current Electronic Environmental Systems, Weapon Systems and Avionics on various weapon platforms to insure on sight mission readiness.
