- Description
- GROUNDS MAINTENANCE. The subject acquisition is for non-personal services, to include all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at Barksdale AFB in a manner that will promote the growth of healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. The contract will be an Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish this requirement. The contractor will be required to maintain a management office on Barksdale AFB in order to provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades related to grounds maintenance. The performance period will be a twelve-month basic year with 4 twelve-month option years, with an anticipated contract start date of 1 April 2013. The current anticipated issue date of the RFP is 15 November 2012. It has been determined that the proposed contract's competition will be limited to 8(a) firms with the assigned NAICS code (561730). Joint Ventures are allowed. A pre-proposal site visit will be held at Barksdale Air Force Base the date will be outlined in the Solicitation.
