- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a level-of-effort contract for approximately 193,600 hours in support of installation component configuration management, logistics support services, and provisioning functions of the Reviewing Yard for CVN 68 Class Steam and Electric Plant components and systems for CVNs 68, 72 and 73. The contemplated contract includes the procurement of logistic technical data services to support the maintenance of the CVN 68 class and CVN 65 Steam Plant Manuals, as well as life cycle logistics, technical engineering services, and ship alteration packages to support the CVN 68 Class Aircraft Carrier integrated propulsion plant. Solicitation N00024-13-R-2122 will be issued to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated, 4101 Washington Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607. Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Huntington Ingalls Incorporated directly. This notice is for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
