- Description
- Ecological restoration project with complimentary recreation. Ecological restoration includes construction of a pond with a geosynthetic clay liner, a wet meadow area and planting of various native species of grasses, shrubs and trees over the area described in the plans. Water will be supplied to the pond and wet meadow via a PVC supply line tapped into an existing 12" reclaimed water line located on the site. Several educational recreation areas will also be constructed consisting of shade structures, wildlife viewing blinds, benches/boulder seating, waste receptacles, signage, and bike rack. Access to the new facilities will be available by a crushed stone path to the pond and meadow area and by existing earthen trails throughout the restored area.
