- Printing Hi-End: Printing Hi-End: Covers 1 thru 4 and Extension print in builds of the four process inks with some type/line matter reversing out to appear white; heavy coverage. Text prints head to head with type, line, and illustration matter (including gradient tints) in builds of the four process inks with some type/line matter reversing out to appear (cream) white; heavy coverage throughout. Text is paginated 1 thru 16; no blanks. Facing text pages 4/5, 6/7, 8/9, 10/11, and 12/13 print to and must align across the bind. After printing, flood coat Covers 1 thru 4 and Extension plus EACH text page with a clear, non-yellowing dull varnish to prevent smearing and scratching. Note: Deckle edge stock is required for Hi-End (see "PAPER" herein). Printing Lo-End: Covers 1 thru 4 print in builds of the four process inks with some type/line matter reversing out to appear (cream) white; heavy coverage. Text prints head to head with type, line, and illustration matter (including gradient tints) in builds of the four process inks with some type/line matter reversing out to appear (cream) white; heavy coverage throughout. Text is paginated 1 thru 16; no blanks. Facing text pages 4/5, 6/7, 8/9, 10/11, and 12/13 print to and must align across the bind. After printing, flood coat Covers 1 thru 4 plus EACH text page with a clear, non-yellowing dull varnish to prevent smearing and scratching. NOTE: Text for both brochures prints the same. Covers do NOT print nor construct the same. Binding (Hi-End Brochure): Die-cut Cover 1 (with deckle edge along the right outside edge) with a 2" in diameter "circle" positioned irregular and regular approximately 3-5/16" from top edge and 2" from bind edge of Cover 1. In addition, "laser" die-cut the extension on Covers 3/4 with an approximately 1-3/16 x 1-1/4" "eagle" image positioned approximately 3-5/16" from top edge and 2-3/16" from outside edge of extension. Note: After folding, the "eagle" die-cut on the extension MUST be centered in the die-cut "circle" on Cover 1. Gather text and trim three sides. Insert text into cover, flush top to bottom, and saddle-wire stitch in two places. Fold cover extension onto text page 1 (approx. 1/8" short of bind), then fold Cover 1 onto the cover extension. Score cover on all folds. It must be noted, once again, that, after folding, the "eagle" die-cut on the extension MUST be centered in the die-cut "circle" on Cover 1. In addition, the deckle edge on the outside right edge of Cover 1 will fold short of the 6" width (see furnished folding dummy and Attachment No. 1 herein). Note: At contractor's option, text may be held in place with one wire stitch prior to inserting into wraparound cover for final saddle-wire stitching. Binding (Lo-End Brochure): Saddle-wire stitch in two places and trim three sides. Each product must contain complete 4-page signature after trimming. Single leaves connected with a lip (i.e., binding stub) to left or right side of stitches will not be allowed. Score cover on bind fold.
