Description
Synopsis Fire Alarm Service and repair Cheyenne WY This is a re-solicitation of a previous requirement Contractor shall provide code compliant testing of the fire and security systems for the Cheyenne VAMC in accord with the current NFPA and Joint Commission standards. Code requirements shall be met; specific requirements noted below shall not exclude testing required by code. Contract shall be for one year, renewable each consecutive year for four years thereafter. II. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. A.Quarterly test for supervisory signal devices. B.Semi-annual tests of valve tamper switches and water-flow devices C.Annual tests of duct detectors, electromechanical releasing devices, heat detectors, manual fire alarm boxes, and smoke detectors. D.Annual tests of visual and audible fire alarms, including speakers E.Quarterly tests of fire alarm equipment for notifying off-site responders F.Annual test & operation of fire and smoke dampers initially, followed by tests each 6 years G.Annual tests of automatic smoke detection shutdown devices for air handling systems H.Annual tests of automatic closing devices on fire-rated doors I.Provide twenty-four hour per day, seven days per week monitoring of station fire alarm system per NFPA 72-1999: 5-4. J.Provide necessary maintenance of fire alarm system to include labor and materials. K.Service personnel shall be on-call twenty-four hour per day, seven days per week with a maximum response time of 4 hours for emergency calls and 8 hours for non-emergency calls.
