- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Intuitive Surgical for surgical instruments to be used with the Da Vinci Robotics Laparoscopic to perform surgical procedures in the operating room at the VA Medical Center, Augusta GA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 423450 with a size standard of 100 employees. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer by fax 478-274-5588. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
