- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Hach Company, 5600 Lindbergh Drive, Loveland, CO 80538 for the purchase of two (2) Nitratax plus sc, 1mm sensors along with cables and controllers. The Nitratax plus sc sensor, 1 mm path length, having the shortest path on the market gives this instrument a much higher range of measurements and resolution than other nitrate sensors. It has a 1 minute response time which allows for the densest time series of any nitrate sensor. This sensor uses UV absorption technology and eliminates the need for reagents. The Hach Nitratax plus sensors are a high resolution nitrate sensor that meets the project needs. Hach Company is the sole maker, provider, and system support mechanism for the Nitratax plus sc sensor. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist by 10:00 AM CST, Friday, November 23, 2012.
