Description

Fleet Numerical Meteorological and Oceanography Center, located in Monterey, CA., has a requirement for fiber optic infrastructure replacement services. The purpose of this combined Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI) is to seek information from industry. Work is to be performed primarily ONSITE, in Monterey. The Contractor is not required to be based in Monterey; however, commuting expenses will NOT be paid. This combined notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their technical questions / comments to the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as well as to submit their availability and potential to fulfill the Navy ™s requirement related to this request in the form of a capability package. Information is sought on industry best practices, vendor technical questions, capabilities and company profile information. Price submissions are not being requested and will not be accepted with this RFI. The results of this RFI will assist the Contracting Officer in determining the acquisition strategy for the required services. A Best Value Tradeoff acquisition is anticipated. The Government anticipates a single award. To ensure vendors understand the scope and magnitude of the project, vendors SHALL attend the site visit to be considered for the RFP phase. Site visit requests are due by 9:00 AM Eastern, 12/11/12.
