- DESCRIPTION This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. The McClellan Park Network Contracting Office (NCO21) is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Announcement to set-aside for Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) who can provide maintenance and repairs to various types of fitness equipment for the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304 and various other sites. Scope of Work- The vendor shall provide the necessary qualified staff able to provide quarterly inspection, maintenance and repairs to approximately 100 fitness equipment located at various locations with the VAPAHCS. Most fitness equipment is equipped with heart rate monitors, other monitoring functions and programmable displays. Equipment include stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, treadmills, leg press, chest press, ARC trainer, multipurpose functional trainer, rowing machine, bow flex, Stairmaster, etc. This will be a Base plus 4 Option Years contract. Base period of performance is expected to begin on/about 1 February 2013 to Jan 31, 2014. The NAICS code is 811310 with Small Business size of $7.0 million. The solicitation document, VA261-13-R-0337, is expected to be posted on/about Nov 20, 2012. Eligible and interested vendors should download a copy of the solicitation and attachments in the FBO website (www.fbo.gov ) to submit bid proposals. All questions must be submitted by email to leala.jew@va.gov. No telephone questions will be accepted. A Site visit will be scheduled. Potential offerors should view the Site Visit Clause and set up an appointment with the POC. Offerors are encouraged to attend the site visit to have a full physical view of the equipment and understanding of the requirement necessary to submit a proper proposal. NOTE: VOSB vendors are reminded that on the due date of proposals, they must be registered and is certified as VOSB in the www.VetBiz.gov site to be considered. The Contracting Specialist will perform verification on the proposal due date as indicated on the solicitation document, SF1449, block item 8.
