Description

RFP - NRC-HQ-13-R-38-0013 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) provides benefits, counseling and personnel services to NRC employees, which enhances the balance of work and family responsibilities and assists NRC in recruiting and retaining the skills necessary to accomplish its mission. As such, OCHCO plans, implements, and monitors a full range of employee benefits; plays an active leadership role in the development of new initiatives; and serves as an agency-wide clearinghouse for information on employee benefits and other related programs. Congress enacted Public Law 107-67 (hereinafter referred to as the Act), which permits Federal agencies to assist their lower income Federal employees with the costs of child care. This legislation allows Federal agencies to provide subsidies directly to the child care provider and thus, can reduce the amount of money that parents pay for childcare. To be eligible to participate in this program, child care provided must be a family child care home or child care center. Either type of care must be licensed and/or regulated by the State and/or local authorities where the service is provided. The NRC has established a child care subsidy program. The NRC solicits proposals from qualified organizations which demonstrate the ability to administer the NRC's child care subsidy program.
