Description
Sources Sought- Vitek®2 Identification Cards Reference number 1112274 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is conducting a market survey to assess the availability and potential technical capability of all small businesses as defined by NAICS code 325413 to provide Vitek® identification cards. The FDA is a regulatory agency with responsibility for the safety of food for humans and animals and the safety and efficacy of drug, devices and other medical products. In support of this regulatory mission, CVM and CFSAN run laboratories which conduct analysts using scientific instruments. To increase the productivity in the laboratories, the Centers require Vitek® 2 identification cards for their Vitek 2 Compact Automated Identification Instruments. These cards are required to identify organisms in samples, such as, but not limited to, Enterococcus, Salmonella, and Escherichia coli. These cards must be compatable with the Vitek® Compact biochemical identification system. The FDA requires the following cards: Gram Negative (GN) ID card-bacterial identification, Gram Positive (GP) ID card-bacterial identification, NH ID card-Neisseria, Haemophilus and other fastidious Gram negative bacteria identification and Yeast (YST) ID card- yeast identification. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents shall specify and document that their NAICS code is 325413 and provide proof of business size. This is a request for information and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for any future solicitation. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
