Date: December 7, 2012 Closing Date: December 19, 2012 RFI: VA701-13-I-0040 From: VA, Program Contracting Activity Central 6150 Oak Tree Blvd, Suite 300 Independence, OH 44131 Contracting Officer: Lincoln Capstick Contracting Specialist: Valentino Rosas Email: Lincoln.Capstick@va.gov, Valentino.Rosas@va.gov The VA is seeking interested sources (contractors) to conduct the following tasks at the Cleveland (Wade Park Division) VA Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106. Requirements include; Contractor shall perform all Construction Phase, Acceptance Phase and Warranty Phase commissioning services as an independent Commissioning Agent of the Veterans Affairs. Services include but are not limited to: 1.Replacing existing motor controllers with VFD drives, installing new flow meters, and modifying controls for cooling tower condenser pumps. 2.Installing an engineering control center/smart building package including upgrading existing dedicated network and integration with existing building management and metering systems. 3.Lighting and lighting controls upgrades. 4.Installing a forced ventilation system in boiler house. 5.Replacing existing steam-fired domestic hot water heaters and controls. 6.Installing vending machine energy miser systems. Construction will be completed by designs and drawings that will be supplied prior to solicitation (if applicable). Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, please do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it may or may not be synopsized in FBO. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor FBO for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, SDVOSB, VOSB or 8(a) set aside when using FBO. SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: 1.All responses must include the following information: Company name and address, CAGE code, Dunn & Bradstreet number, Point-of-Contact name, phone number, facsimile number, and email address. The subject line of your response should clearly display the RFI number. 2.Please provide an electronic copy (CD or email). 3.Please provide a summary description of at least three but no more than five contracts your company has performed for this same or similar requirement. Please identify whether you performed as a prime contractor, sub-contractor, teaming partner, or as a project manager. Please be specific and provide a complete reference to include at a minimum the project name, contract award amount and the project's owner contact information. It is requested that interested contractors submit a response (electronic submission) of no more than five (5) pages in length, single spaced, and 12 point font minimum that addresses the above information to the POC below. Price schedules will not be counted in the page limit. All submissions must contain the RFI number in the subject line of the email. Submissions (electronic responses) shall be received by no later than December 19, 2012 at 4:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time. At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION. Contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements should forward an email only to the primary point of contact listed below. No phone calls will be accepted.
