Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement only. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) and on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO). It is the responsibility of the potential Offerors to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. This sources sought is a market research tool being used for informational and planning purposes ONLY to determine the appropriate level of competition. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from the potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation and any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. All potential Offerors are reminded that they must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), South-East is seeking eligible business firms capable of performing firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for minor construction, marine work, alteration, renovation, repair and demolition (including and not limited to asbestos, lead paint and mold remediation) of Government facilities at US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, design, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and transportation, to perform all of the services described in the specifications for each task order. The NAICS code is 238990 All Other Specialty Trade Contractors with an annual size standard of $14,000,000.00. The proposed contract will be for one base year with four one-year renewable options, resulting in the contract performance period of maximum 5 years. The estimated total contract price for the base year and four option years combined is $50,000,000.00. Task order range is estimated between $2,000 and $1,000,000. Interested businesses are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by submitting a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. The documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: 1) Contractor Information: Provide your firm �s contact information. 2) Experience: Submit a maximum of five (5) government projects completed in the last three (3) years demonstrating your experience under this NAICS as indicated in this announcement within the cost range of $2,000 to $1,000,000. For each of the contracts/projects submitted for experience, provide the title; location; whether prime or subcontractor work; award and completion dates; contract or subcontract value; type of work; type of facility (office, medical, recreational buildings, BEQs); type of contract (IDIQ or other); a narrative description of the product/services provided by your firm; and customer information including point of contact, phone number, and email address. 3) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), available bonding capacity per contract, DUNS number, CAGE Code. Responses to this announcement are due no later than 2:00 PM (EST) on Monday, January 7, 2013. Please email your response to Marriana Booker, Contract Specialist, marriana.booker@usnbgtmo.navy.mil.
