Description
CSD Data Sheet AFIT_6u_chassis_ no_ components AFIT_6_U chassis with components 2002367 -Payload Spec 1. Attachment 1 to the Solicitation announcement mentions SF 1449 in several places in the Instructions to Offerors. We are unable to find the SF 1449 in either attachment to the announcement. We assume the Government will post an amendment to the Solicitation to provide the SF 1449. Is our assumption correct? ANSWER: SF1449 is the solicitation form (itself). 2. The Solicitation announcement indicates the Offerors shall allocate 15% of their total price into Line Item 0001 - Design, and 85% into Line Item 0002 - Satellite Hardware Development Facility. The DESIGN Section of Attachment 2 indicates the customer/end user can define any changes by mark-ups on the drawings, and the detailed list of items and functions. As a Firm Fixed Price contract, this places considerable risk on the success of program, the customer, and the contractor. Until the customer/end user signs off on a final design, the complete list of components required to deliver the Satellite Hardware Development Facility and their associated costs will be unknown. Would the Government consider a two phased proposal with a T&M or Cost Plus component for the Design effort and a FFP component for the build and delivery component of the contract? ANSWER: FFP only. Drawings will be based on initial requirements. 3. The General section of Attachment 2 to the Solicitation announcement describes an "engineering effort for redesign of AFIT's existing chassis system." Is it possible to provide drawings and specifications for the existing chassis system? ANSWER: Yes -- the expected design will look like Figure 1 in the attached file named "2002367- Payload Spec for 3U 6U 12U 27U.pdf." Additionally, PSC's CSD spec is provided. AFIT's current design is shown in figures: "AFIT_6U_chassis_no_components.pdf" and "AFIT_6U_chassis_with_components.pdf" 4. We have not seen any questions and answers or amendments posted on FedBizOps for this solicitation. We assume the Government will post questions and answers. Is our assumption correct? ANSWER: Yes
