Description

The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, Texas 78229 intends to enter into a sole source purchase order with Lions Eye Bank of Central Texas for cornea eye tissue to be utilized during surgical procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All information shall be furnished at a no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses received, will be made entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please submit information to Shaundrica Close at Shaundrica.Close@va.gov. All responses must be received no later than December 27, 2012, 12:00 pm local time. The North American Industry Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 621991 with a size standard of $10.0 Million Dollars.
