- 1.1 Perform groom and tune on main engine console and components. Rebuild Pnuematic board and Main engine Thermocouples with Parts, OWS Summary alarms. 2.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION: 2.1 Location/Quantity/Description: 2.1.1 Specified in Paragraph 5.0. 3.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES: 3.1 None 4.0 NOTES: 4.1 Performance Period: 14 March, 2013 to 22 May, 2013. 4.2 Location: TBD, Estimate Portland, Oregon 4.3 Point of Contact: Michael Roseth (757) 443-0931 Office, (757) 373-0864 Cell 4.4 Access Information - Email michael.roseth@navy.mil 5.0 STATEMENT OF WORK: 5.1 Provide the services of a qualified field service engineer to attend the vessel and accomplish the following: a. Provide automation support during annual ABS Inspection. Perform a complete system groom and calibration of the Bridge and Engine Room Control Console, Local operating Console and Cargo Console. b. Provide and install new K type thermocouples into port and starboard main engines. c. Provide parts and rebuild the pneumatic panel components. d. Provide replacement monitors and install same for host computer. e. Provide, check and install if required new Bridge and ERC Limit switches and Cams for the throttle levers. f. Provide and replace pulpulsion test box. g. Provide and replace pitch meter signal conditioner h. Inspect test and service, adjust, repair and calibrate the engine control console and associated sensors and other equipment as necessary to balance main engine load between engines. i. Upon completion of the work, demonstrate proper load-sharing between the main engines to the satisfaction of the vessel's Chief Engineer and the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Port Engineer. j. Provide a report of condition found, repairs made and parts installed to the vessel's Chief Engineer and the MSC Port Engineer. k. Provide ABS inspection and Dock Trial and Sea Trial support. l. For estimation purposes, assume 10 hour days 7 days a week. 5.2 Interface the New OWS with the Summary alarms as listed below: a. With the new OWS system installed the ERC alarms and controls needed to be interfaced with the new equipment. Reused the old OWS M10 cable for the new controls. Reuse the Malfunction Alarm and Oil Content Detected Alarm cables b. Rep to provide the required five relay I/O module, consisting of two 24VDC relays and three 24VAC relays I mounted it in the 1J1 surface of the ERC. c. Rep to mounted two 12 term terminal boards below the relay I/O. Connect the I/O circuit wiring and interfaced it with the original ship's cables. d. Rep to provide a green color alarm on the Ship's Control Console that will track the OWS Overboard Discharge Enable function of the new OWS system. e. Use conductors in cable MPP24 that runs between the ERC and SCC to link the new relay I/O contacts with the new alarm card (79A1070) we installed in 2F5A1-X18. f. Rep to set the logic for this card with the basket program switches and test to ensure proper operation. g. Rep to provide 1 EAO maintained type, push on, push off type Emergency stop pushbutton to replace the EAO 704-950-0 momentary pushbutton.
