Description

The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received before 4PM on Friday December 28 2012 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Starrag-Heckert INC is the original equipment manufacturer and will be repairing and making operational one of their machines located at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center. The HD-48 is a proprietary milling spindle and due to the proprietary nature of the work do be done; it makes it impossible for other contractors to conduct this repair. All responses may be emailed to Stephen Ngotho at stephen.ngotho@navy.mil and reference number N4215813RC30255 no later than 4PM on December 28, 2012 EST.
