This is sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses with special interest in seeking: Small Businesses (SB); VA certified Service Disabled Veteran owned Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) small business concerns. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Your responses will be due by Monday, January 7, 2013, 12:00PM (EST) to the point of contact listed below. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, and the Durham Veteran Affair Medical Center located: 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina anticipates a Preventive Maintenance requirement for MAQUET PERFUSION UNITS. Scope of work - include (2) semi-annual PM services and all unscheduled repair services for three (3) model CS100 and two (2) model CS100i balloon pumps and two (2)model HL-20 perfusion machines. Services to include all remedial repair parts, PM kits, parts, labor, travel and software updates and patches required to maintain the equipment to OEM normal operating specifications. Included in the scope of work is unlimited technical and clinical telephone support from OEM-trained specialist and annual on-site operator training provided by an OEM-trained Clinical Support Specialist? Balloon pump PM services are to be performed in January and July. Perfusion machine PM services are to be performed in February and August. All parts provided must be OEM-new. Equipment to be serviced is as follows: 1.CS100, VA EIL # 43921 2. CS100, VA EIL # 43922 3. CS100, VA EIL # 43923 4. CS100i, VA EIL # 45215 5.CS100i, VA EIL # 43941 6.HL-20, VA EIL # 32808 7.HL-20, VA EIL # 37607 Place of Performance - all work shall be completed at: DURHAM VAMC 508 Fulton Street Durham, NC 27705-3897 Attn: BLDG 1 The appropriate NAICS Code 811219 and the small business size standard are $19.0. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
