Description
Synopsis: The Contractor shall supply Womack Army Medical Center's, Blood Donor Center, bag blood donor CPD/Optisol 16 G Ultra Thin wall needle (Each case contains 24 blood bags) item # 1BB*AGD456A2. Terumo Brand Name or Equal. Base Year is for a period of seven (7) months for a total quantity of 210 cases. 30 cases per month shall be delivered by the 5th business day of each month. Option Year 1 is for a period of twelve (12) months for a total quantity of 360 cases. 30 cases per month shall be delivered by the 5th business day of each month. Option Year 2 is for a period of twelve (12) months for a total quantity of 360 cases. 30 cases per month shall be delivered by the 5th business day of each month. Option Year 3 is for a period of twelve (12) months for a total quantity of 360 cases. 30 cases per month shall be delivered by the 5th business day of each month. Option Year 4 is for a period of twelve (12) months for a total quantity of 360 cases. 30 cases per month shall be delivered by the 5th business day of each month. The Terumo Teruflex Blood Bag System CPD/Optisol Solution 16G ULTRA thin wall needle, features an integral sampling pouch to collect blood for test samples from the donor prior to collecting the unit. These bags also feature a Donor Care Needle Guard pre attached. This blood bag system due to its unique design provides for an easy way to collect testing samples from the donor, while at the same time insures that the blood is collected in a sterile system free of contamination. Salient Features of the Terumo Teruflex Blood Bag System with Diversion Blood Sampling Arm, CPD/Optisol Solution: -Blood bag outlet port has easy to open peal tabs that provide visual assurance that the seal has not been opened. -CLIKTIO Inline closure devices are easy to open and provide smooth transfer of blood components into the satellite bags. -Tall and narrow design of the primary bag which enhances the separation of blood components. -Thick wall tubing reduces the incidence of kinking while maintaining blood flow. -Tamper evident needle protector shows evidence of a broken seal. -Double bevel ultra-thin wall needle design improves flow capacity and minimizes donor discomfort. -Color coded blister packaging for convenient storage and easy identification. -Latex free. -FDA Approved Additives The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for this requirement. This unrestricted procurement is for a Base Year (1 March 2013- 30 Sep 2013) and four (4) twelve (12) month option periods ending (30 Sep 2018) if all options are exercised. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. It is a requirement that all contractors doing business with the Department of Defense be registered with CCR (the website may be accessed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. The entire solicitation will be issued electronically at the Army Single Face to Industry website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi (paper copies will not be available). The solicitation, attachments and specifications will only be available by downloading the document from the ASFI website. All prospective offerors are responsible for obtaining the solicitation, any amendments or any other information from the ASFI website. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the website frequently/daily for the solicitation and any posted changes to the solicitation. When issued, the solicitation will specify the actual date and time for proposal receipt. No telephone request will be honored.
