Description
Description: The Contractor shall provide a broad spectrum of research support services to the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, and to multiple international clinical and nonclinical sites to enhance their capacity to plan, conduct and manage clinical research in accordance with protocol/study requirements, international and country-specific regulatory requirements, and GCP, GLP, ISO, and other international standards and guidelines. This contract is a cost reimbursement, fixed fee term contract with a 12 month base period and six (6) 12 month option periods, for a total of 84 months. Optional quantities may be exercised up to five (5) times in each period. In accordance with FAR 16.3, a cost reimbursement type contract was awarded because the uncertainties involved in the performance of this contract do not permit cost to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use a fixed priced type arrangement. Sufficient safeguards are included in the contract to ensure that costs are allowable, allocable, fair, and reasonable.
