Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate sole source commercial item procurement Simplex Grinnell for annual service of the Simplex Grinnell Nurse Call System located at the Richmond VA Medical Center. This requires the maintenance of the equipment and software, replacement of circuit boards for the operation of the Life Safety System, servicing of the basic system, maintaining the system stays on line, providing factory trained technicians, regional and factory service support, update and modify the system as needed by the manufacturer specifications, internal wiring diagrams of the system for trouble shooting. The period of performance shall be for one base year with four optional years. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4:00 EST, January 11, 2013 EST to: Patricia.Hoagland@va.gov or Fax: 757-728-3132. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
