Description
The Portland, OR VA Medical Center (PVAMC) is seeking the following professional services: Project Scope: Custom qPCR array production, run, and analysis service is an integrated and streamlined process ensuring proper quality assurance and quality control for reliable data generation. We need a contractor which is able to produce customized quantitative PCR (qPCR) arrays in a 384 well format, which includes synthesis of primers for 384 unique genes of our choosing, and robotically adding them to individual wells of a 384 well PCR plate. We shall send cDNA generated from samples we isolated to the contractor and they shall use this in addition to qPCR reagents to run the qPCR. Following the running of 24 individual qPCR arrays, data shall be consolidated and analyzed to normalize the data and identify differentially expressed genes. Following statistical analysis to identify significantly altered gene expression, gene lists including the raw data shall be sent to the requestor. A Statement of Work (SOW) shall be included in the solicitation. The Request for Quotations number is VA260-13-Q-0151. Cascading set-aside procedures shall be in effect, reviewing 8(a)/HubZone sources respectively. A determination shall be made by the Contracting Officer as to the adequacy of sources in any of the aforementioned categories. If there are not sufficient sources in any of the aforementioned categories then the field shall be open to all responsible small businesses. Firms offering a response to this notice should ensure that their registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ is current and should ensure that the applicable NAICS code (541711) is included in the SAM profile prior to submission of quotations. The anticipated start date of this contract is 02/01/2013; and it is estimated that the contract shall run through 01/31/2014. The solicitation shall result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed-price contract. Interested parties are encouraged to register on the solicitation mailing list.
