REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Office of Acquisition and Relocation Management 8701 Morrissette Drive Springfield, VA 22152 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS RFI. Any formal solicitation will be annouced separately. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information provided in response to this RFI. DESCRIPTION: The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Investigative Technology (ST), Radio Unit is seeking information from sources that are capable of install, remove, repair, and perform corrective and preventive maintenance services for DEA owned Radio Inter-Operability System located worldwide, and consisting of fixed and portable equipment. Background: The DEA communications network utilizes SyTech's inter-operability and intercept technology to interface disparate radio equipment and communications systems. This encompasses all types of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment: mobile/portable radios, base stations, repeaters, and consoles. DEA is evolving into narrow-band, digital modulation format. The inter-operability system allows diverse radios types and frequencies (VHF, UHF, HF, and 800 MHz) to communicate and interface with satellite, cellular, landline and other communication devices. The SyTech equipment will be backwards and forward compatible with existing DEA-owned equipment manufactured by SyTech. List of DEA owned SyTech Radio Inter-Operability System: SR-3000 Series: Fixed / Portable / Tactical units. Responses to this annoucement must provide detailed, concise information about the company's qualifications and experience in providing the about listed services on SyTech equipment, within the past three (3) years. List of past experience of the respondent to include: Contract Number, dollar value, period of performance, point of contact information including Name, Address, Telephone Number and E-mail address. INFORMATION APPROACH: When the responses to this RFI are received, they will be evaluated and analyzed byt he Government. This information received will be considered in the development of the acquisition strategy and may serve as input to a business case. In all cases pertaining to this RFI, the Government will take absolute care not to present information outside of the Government in a way that clearly identifies individual vendors or products. CONTRACT INFORMATION: All responses must be submitted electronically to John.C.Girard@usdoj.gov. and be received no later than January 25, 2013 @ 12:00 p.m. EST.
