Description

Department of Veterans Affairs VA MidSouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Nashville Campus, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Therakos, Inc. (Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc.) of Exton PA. 19341 for the service contract of the Photophoresis System, Cellex Kits (Stock #: CLXUSA) 3 per case, located at Nashville VA Medical Center in Nashville Tennessee. The government believes that Therakos, Inc. is the only authorized provider of the Photophoresis Kits. This is a sole source procurement utilizing, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR Part 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these services may give written notification to the Contract Specialist, no later than 4:00 PM CST, January 9, 2013. Supporting evidence of ability to provide these kit's, must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the Purchasing Agent via email address: judy.pitts@va.gov. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation to Therakos, Inc. for the required service.
