Description: This is a request for information (RFI) and Industry Conference in accordance with FAR 15.201(e). This is not a solicitation for quotes, neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kinds of offers will be considered in response to this RFI and there will be no contract award from this RFI. There will be no reimbursement for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI, follow-up information requests or participation in the Industry Conference. The purpose of this RFI is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources and their size classifications (small business, large business, Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) etc. PURPOSE: This notice is to announce The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) located at the place of performance listed below. Endoscopic Industry Conference, which will be hosted by the Program Manager for Surgery Equipment Jan 31 2013 -Feb 1, 2013 to seek vendors interested in participating. This Industry Conference will allow VHA Surgery Program Manager, to gather information on vendors who can provide flexible fiber optic and rigid endoscopes to include: Bronchoscopes, ENT Scopes, Arthroscopies, GU Endoscopes, Laparoscopes and support equipment. This Industry Day Conference Notice is the initiation of periodic market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. Vendor program managers and bio-medical engineers are specifically encouraged to attend. EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE: The VHA Program Manager, Surgery has provided as attachments to this RFI, the Draft Statement of Work and the Minimum Technical Requirement for Endoscopic which can be found in (Attachment 1 and 2) of this RFI. PERFORMANCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) 810 Vermont Ave. RM C-7 Washington, D.C 20420. RESPONSE INFORMATION: Vendors who desire to participate in this Industry Conference should submit responses by 2:00pm(EST) on 18 Jan 2013. Response to this RFI must be submitted to Christopher Frank (contract specialist) and Maurice Christian (lead) via e-mail to Christopher.Frank2@va.gov and Maurice.Christian@va.gov. Each RFI response will receive a confirmation email; if a confirmation is not received please call 202-603-4486. Please include: Point of contact Company name Business size classification Phone number E-mail address and website information In addition, the response should describe the company's capability to provide all necessary labor, material, tools, delivery, training, and equipment necessary to support the endoscopic equipment to the Veterans Health Administration facilities across the United States as characterized by the requirements addressed in this RFI. Manufacturers are encouraged to submit responses to this RFI, even if each requirement is not met. The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI.
