Description
PROCESS TO REGISTER WITH GOVERNMENT - SAM SOLICITATION FOR HERBICIDE AG-4660-S-13-0005 U. S. Forest Service located on the Savannah River Site has a requirement for the application of herbicide on approxximately 325 arcres. The Savannah River Site is located 10 miles east of Aiken, SC. The Savanah River Site is a restricted area. All Contractor personnel must receive a Site Access Photo Badge and wear it at all times while on the Savannah River Site. U.S. citizens must complete a Personnel Data sheet and submit it to the Forest Service at least 10 days in advance to allow time to approve it and schedule General Employee Training. The applicants must be capable of satisfactorily completing a training session (General Employee Training) followed by a test. U.S. citizens will need at least two forms of approved identification, such as a state driver's license and social security card, to receive the badge. The Contractor will provide transportation contingencies for any personnel that fail the test or do not possess sufficient proof of identification and who therefore will not be allowed on to the site. Foreign nationals may work on-Site (with exception of pilots); however the required badge materials must be submitted at least three weeks in advance if from non-sensitive countries. Individuals must have valid passport, visa or green card, and I-9 form, and must provide sufficient information for the Forest Service to prepare a security plan. Depending upon the security plan, a U.S. citizen may be required to function as an escort. The latter person must be provided by the Contractor and must be photo badged and take a brief on-line escort training class. The Solicitation should be posted to this site on or about 7 January 2013. A site visit will be held, date and time will be addressed in the solicitation.
