- Description
- 1. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED with the intent to award a firm-fixed construction contract for the project entitled Install Pile Driven Shoring for KO13-805, Backfill Alley and Extend Service Road at Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae, Korea 2. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to perform installation of pile driven shoring system to include the following works: 1) Drill and drive H-Pile (300x300x10x15) by auger (total 355 meters long). 2) Install wooden laggings (approx.340㎡). 3) Install 10 each of earth anchors (4PC x 12.7Ø x 10M). 4) Install wale (total 137M, H-pile 300 x 300 x 10 x 15) and struts (28ea, H-pile 300 x 300 x 10 x 15). 5) Excavation and removal of interfered trees will be conducted by other contractors. 6) Remove shoring system upon completion of retaining wall installation. (The concrete retaining wall will be constructed by other contractors) The size of a project that the Government anticipates awarding this contract is mainly between 109,516,350 and 273,790,875 Korean Won. This range is for information purposes only and may vary. 3. Award will be made to the lowest responsible whose quotation, conforming to the solicitation, is the most advantageous to the Government. 4. Unless otherwise indicated in the synopsis, this is an Internet-only solicitation. It is the quoters/Offerors responsibility to check this site daily in order to be notified of any changes to this solicitation. A Site Visit will be scheduled in the solicitation and more details will be forthcoming. 5. The solicitation will be issued on or about 22 January 2013. Quotations will be due on or about 22 February 2013 at NAVFAC Far East FEAD Chinhae, Korea at the time specified in the solicitation. 6. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at https://www.asia.neco.navy.mil/ when becomes available. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. Notification of any amendments to the solicitation will only be made on the AsiaNECO website for any posted changes. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFEROR TO CONTINUALLY VIEW THE WEBSITE FOE ANY AMENDMENTS ISSUED TO THE SOLICITATION. 7. This solicitation is intended only for local sources in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12). Local sources are those normally resident and licensed to conduct business in Korea. Offers from non-local sources will not be considered under this solicitation.
