- Description
- a. Use particle tracking software to measure nanoparticle Brownian motion and thus nanoparticle size particlebyparticle b. Be able to visualize the particles during analysis and provide video confirmation of particle sizes for data presentations c. Be able to determine nanoparticle sizes in complex nanoparticles (e.g., metals/metal oxide nanoparticles, proteins, viruses, exosomes/vesicles, etc), complex nanoparticle mixtures (i.e., particle mixtures ranging from 10 nm to 1000 nm), and in complex matrices (e.g., wastewater effluent) d. Be able to measure nanoparticle size kinetics over time without needing to remove the sample from the device because of sample alteration (i.e., heating) e. Have a high signal-to-noise design by using dark black background material, improving the resolution between particles f. Be able to distinguish true size distribution between multiple particles ranging in size without size bias (i.e., small populations of large particles resulting in large number count, while large populations of small particles resulting in smaller number count) g. Required minimal sample preparation h. Come with a computer for particle size analysis i. Provide multiple modes of data analysis and interpretation (e.g., histogram, scatter plot, etc.) j. Fit a laboratory bench footprint less than 3' x 3' x 3' k. Be able to switch out lasers for additional analyses (red [638 nm] and blue [405 nm])
