Description
This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice Only. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy to provide ground ambulance services (Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) for the Grand Rapids Community Outpatient Based Clinic, 3019 Coit Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contract Office 11 (NCO 11) is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, or 8(a) firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside under NAICS 621910 with a size standard of $14M. Contractor shall be an established ambulance service provider. All vehicles proposed for use shall meet the minimum vehicle requirements as mandated by federal specifications. Contractor shall continuously meet or exceed all Joint Commission standards. Estimated solicitation date is on or around February 4, 2013 with an estimated award date of March 18, 2013. The intended contract base period is anticipated to be 1 base year for the period of April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014 with four 1-year option periods.
