- Description
- REVISED as follows: "Sites which have a seasonal water table less than 10 feet." Original RFI stated less than 25 feet. The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking information from owners of 34 to 49 contiguous, buildable, acres of land (minimum lot size 1350 ™ X 1100 ™) located in the State of New York who would be interested in selling such land to the United States for use as the site of an Integrated Air Traffic Control Facility. FAA will consider all submissions that meet the minimum criteria; however, land located within 150 miles from downtown New York City (Lat: 40.7320 Lon: -73.9960) within the state of New York will receive preferential consideration. This RFI is undertaken as part of a larger alternatives analysis process in FAA ™s long-term strategy and approach to facility and service transformation. This project may include alternative approaches. The site should be suitable for the construction of an operational radar control campus with approximately 250,000 square feet of buildings and parking areas to support approximately 800 employees. Sites located within 100-year floodplains or within a flood-prone area shall not be considered. Sites should be relatively flat but with good drainage. Sites with steep slopes (greater than 8%) will not be considered. "Sites which have a seasonal water table less than 10 feet" below the average grade will not be considered. Sites with any history of hazardous material contamination will not be considered. Sites with any existing easements within the property or along the perimeter will not be considered. The FAA is also willing to consider all manners of making the land available to FAA; responses may provide information on any manner of transfer that would provide the land to the FAA and result in Federal ownership. FAA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, without liability, to utilize any or all of the RFI responses in its planning efforts. FAA reserves the right to retain all the materials and information, and the ideas, suggestions therein, submitted in response to this RFI. This RFI shall not be construed in any manner to implement any of the actions contemplated herein, nor to serve as the basis for any claim whatsoever for reimbursement of costs for efforts expended in preparing a response to the RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Responses to this notice are not an offer and cannot be accepted by FAA to form a binding contract. E-mail gail.gray@faa.gov no later than 1/31/13 with the property address, a brief description of the site, and the proposed price.
