- Network Contracting Office (NCO) is planning to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain air ambulance services for inter-island transport for the State of Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide ALS/BLS/CCT air ambulance service twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, including all holidays for beneficiaries of the VA. The Contractor shall provide passenger air charter service and related passenger services to assist the Government in meeting its travel needs from the neighbor islands to the island of Oahu, HI. The demand for air ambulance services is estimated at 6-7 trips per month. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA261-13-R-0265. The solicitation will be issued on or about April 8, 2013, with an anticipated proposal due date of May 13, 2013. The Period of Performance of the Base Year begins on or about July 1, 2013 through September 30, 2013 with four (4) one year option periods. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The NAICS is 621910 and the size standard is $7million. This will be a firm fixed priced contract. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. All questions shall be submitted in writing to Nicole.do@va.gov Interested firms fitting one or more of the Socio-economic (Services Disable Veterans Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business and Small Business) categories should send their information by email to Nicole.do@va.gov no later than 8:00AM Pacific Standard Time, February 1, 2013.
