Description
This acquisition is a prospective 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS Code is 212321. Size standard is 500 Employees. Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals; the Government will issue Request for Quotes after this pre-solicitation notice is posted. The National Cemetery Administration as requested by the VA Riverside National Cemetery is planning a solicitation to offers under Solicitation No. VA786-13-Q-0095 for the Deliver on an "as need basis" approximately: 3225 tons of "1 inch Crushed Granite" 3300 tons of Birdseye #5 683 tons of "Fill Sand SE-30" Deliveries must be in truck-transfer loads. The VA Riverside National Cemetery reserves the right to adjust up or down the amount of tons delivered. The contract period is from January 14,2013 through September 30, 2013. All work will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Work will be conducted in such a manner to minimize the impact on the Cemetery operations. Deliveries will be accepted between the hours of 8:00am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays. All deliveries will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and with the Cemetery Director. Only the Contracting Officer (CO) has the authority to make changes to the contract that affects price and/or time. GENERAL REQUIREMENT I. General Notes 1.Prior to submission of any bid, the Contractor shall submit samples of each product to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for approval. 2. The Contractor shall assume sole responsibility for safety of all its employees on or about the construction site, in accordance with applicable laws and codes. Guard all hazards in accordance with the safety provisions of the latest manual of accident prevention published by the Associated General Contractors of America and OSHA 3. Any subsequent damage by the contractor to cemetery property shall be repaired at the contractor's expense. ----END---
