Contractor's are to meet at the maintenance building located to the right of the main entrance of Lake WaConDa. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Lake WaConDa General. The Lake WaConDa Levee System, Sanitary and Improvement District No. 1, Cass County, Nebraska is located adjacent to the right bank of the Missouri River at river mile 577.3. The project consists of 11,500 ft of earthen levee that creates a reservoir and residential area adjacent to the Missouri River. The Sanitary and Improvement District No. 1 is the public sponsor. The work includes repairs at three areas damaged as a result of the 2011 Missouri River Flood. Repairs will consist of clearing and grubbing the identified areas, fine grading, followed by placement of top soil and seeding. One area will require a berm to be placed landside of the levee out into the lake. The berm will extend out into the lake. The front face of the berm will include placement of a non-woven geotextile to minimize the migration of the berm into the lake. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
