Question: Are we to replace the carpet in the affected offices? If so, is this carpet tiles or rolled carpet? Does the VA have any attic stock that we can use for the base and carpet? Answer: No, only if Contractor is at fault. Carpet tiles are currently in room 308. There is some stock of carpet tiles and base on hand. 2. Question: Are we to treat wall cavities and areas immediately exposed to the damage with a moldicide? Answer: No. 3. Question: Does the project require a mold mitigation contractor? Answer: No. 4. Question: Are there any asbestos or lead paint that we need to be concerned about? Answer: No. 5. Question: Does the VA have contract with Simplex to maintain fire alarm system? Will VA be responsible to take device impacted by work out of service or is that the responsibility of the Contractor? Answer: Simplex maintains our fire alarm system and the VA would arrange with Simplex to have system taken off line during the project when necessary. 6.
