Building Drops Page 2 Building Drops Page 1 Questions and Answers THIS NOTICE IS AMENDMENT 0002 TO THE SOLICITATION. ALL AMENDMENTS MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED IN YOUR QUOTE SUBMISSION OR YOU MAY BE DETERMINED NON-RESPONSIVE. THIS AMENDMENT AND ASSOCIATED ATTACHMENTS DO NOT CHANGE THE TIME AND DATE FOR QUOTE SUBMISSION TO THE 902D CONTRACTING SQUADRON POINTS OF CONTACT LISTED IN THIS SOLICITATION NOTICE. QUOTES REMAIN DUE AT THE TIME AND DATE STATED IN THE ORIGINAL COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE. The purpose of this second Amendment is to incorporate two (2) additional plans and provide answers to offeror questions (Q&A) attached. The additional plans are included to show where the end user will be placing their furniture. For cable installation purposes, we are requesting that all receptacles be placed 18 inches (18") above the fixed floor. Exceptions to that placement (if any) will be minimal and determined during installation by the end user and the technical representative (902d Communications Squadron). THIS NOTICE IS AMENDED TO CORRECT PARAGRAPH TWO (2) SIZE STANDARD FROM $30M TO READ $14M. ALL AMENDMENTS MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED IN THE BID. DATE AND TIME FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES IS UNCHANGED AS A RESULT OF THIS AMENDMENT 0001. 1. The 902d Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB, TX has a requirement to Install and Replace Cabling in Building 661 IAW attached Statement of Work (SOW) and diagram(s). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) number F3PF1G2346A001. The clauses and provisions incorporated herein are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-63. 2. This RFQ is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business under NAICS Code 238210 with a size standard of $14M dollars. 3. A Firm Fixed Priced Award will be made in accordance with the attached SOW and terms below: Description of Services CLIN 0001: Contractor shall provide all equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, labor, supervision management, and other incidentals necessary to install/replace Category 5/Category 5e with Category 6 cables, in addition to relocate existing Category 6 cables in locations where specifically needed in Building 661 in accordance with SOW and other attached documents referenced herein. All equipment, supplies, and materials provided shall be new and not refurbished. Quantity: 1 EA 4. A single site visit is being offered on Wednesday, 9 January, at 9:00AM. All offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed and access to the site will be limited to the organized site visit only. Any offeror desiring to attend must submit the following information: Full Name, Date of Birth, Driver's License or State ID number and Company represented for all attendees. This information must be submitted to the POCs below prior to the time of the visit. Written quotes are required (oral offers will not be accepted) and submission of quotes must be in accordance with FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items. Includes proposed delivery/period of performance dates with the quote. Since there may be a variety of methods available to achieve the desired results, the technical description of the products and services being offered must be in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements of this RFQ and SOW. This may include product literature, capability statements, or other documents. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106-2 and t he Government intends to evaluate quotes and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the most advantageous terms from a price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. The Government may reject any or all offers if such action is in the public interest; and accept other than the lowest offer based on the results of the technical evaluation. 5.
