Description
This Request for Information (RFI) REPLACES N65236_SNOTE_00068326 originally posted on January 02, 2013 - Stand-off/On the Move Face and Iris Recognition Systems Suited For High-throughput Environments DUE: 15 February 2013 The SSC Atlantic Solutions in Identity Management (SIM) Integrated Product Team (IPT) is responsible for rapidly delivering and supporting advanced biometrics solutions and intelligence that enables Identity Superiority and Information Dominance for the Naval, Joint, National and Coalition Warfighter. SSC Atlantic is conducting market research to identify standalone and/or integrated face and iris recognition systems suited to high-throughput environments. These systems (e.g., commercial off-the-shelf products or prototype systems) and enabling technologies could support SSC Atlantic in the development of a non-contact (touchless), on the move, multi-modal biometric prototype system in support of U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) priorities and urgent requirements. SSC Atlantic seeks information from Government, Industry, and Academic organizations who are currently involved in advanced technology development, rapid prototyping, system development, and the operational and system testing and evaluation of standalone and/or integrated face and iris recognition devices, with a primary emphasis on the ability for automated fast capture of moving subjects in high-throughput environments. Information collected from this market research study will be reviewed and evaluated by SSC Atlantic SIM IPT leadership and program sponsors. The SSC Atlantic SIM IPT Team will extend invitations to responding organizations with innovative systems and/or enabling technology to provide a capability briefing and technology demonstration during the 2nd and 3rd Quarters, Fiscal Year 2013. Submittals Respondents are required to provide a two (2) page product description of their system and its capture methods and a quad chart for each independent face and/or iris system following the instructions and formats provided in the attached Fast Capture Face and Iris - RFI Instructions (Fast Capture Face and Iris - RFI Instructions.docx). All submissions should be e-mailed no later than 3:00 PM EST, February 15, 2013 to lashon.stephens@navy.mil. All documents (including this posting and the instructions for submission) will be located on SSC LANT'S e-commerce web site: https://e-commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil. If you encounter issues regarding access to the website, you willl need to contact the webmaster. Technical Point of Contact The Technical Point of Contact is LaShon Stephens, lashon.stephens@navy.mil, (843) 218-4144. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Submission of vendor information constitutes consent to publication within internal Government documents. Submittal/response information will not be made known to the general public.
