Description
Maritime Surveillance Systems Integrated Common Processor Solicitation Number: N00039-13-R-0035 Agency: Department of the Navy Office: Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Location: SPAWAR HQ The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in support of Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office, Submarines (PEO SUB), Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Program Office PMS 485 intends to issue a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, to Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (MS2) of Manassas, VA for the MSS Integrated Common Processor (ICP). The contract period of performance is anticipated to be a Base Period of six (6) months with three (3) one-year Options and is to be awarded in the third quarter of fiscal year 2013. This effort is for the procurement of hardware and software systems, spares, and system software upgrades for the Fixed Surveillance Systems (FSS) and Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS). Specifically required are hardware and software engineering, software development and maintenance, systems integration, integrated logistics support, and hardware/spares procurements for SURTASS ships and IUSS shore sites. Engineering support will be required to develop design improvements for new and modified acoustic sensors systems and transition Advanced Surveillance Builds (ASBs) into their specific platforms, trainers, and shore based facilities. Due to their requisite knowledge, technical expertise, and extensive facilities with IUSS configuration management modules, Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (MS2) of Manassas, VA is the only contractor that can design, integrate, test, produce, and install the ICP system for PMS 485 Maritime Surveillance Systems.
