- Description
- Furnish labor, materials, equipment, tools, project management, supervision, engineering, quality control, testing, transportation, safety, appurtenances and other items necessary for the rehabilitation of WMATA parking facilities at Vienna (South) Parking Garage, Southern Parking Garage and Suitland Parking Garage. The work includes, but is not limited to pre-cast rehab of the garages, for example: concrete repairs which include repair of cracks and spalls; double tee rehabilitation includes remove and replacement of deck sealant, repair of tee plates, cleaning and painting, etc. expansion joint rehab work; deteriorated bearing pad replacement; traffic control; pressure washing; curbs and access ramps; application of sealant, re-striping of concrete surfaces; rehabilitation of exposed reinforced steel, installation of drainage slopes and additional surface drains; rehabilitated electrical circuits and lighting fixtures as necessary to meet current lighting code requirements; repair and coat steps in the stairwells; rehabilitating miscellaneous steel at ramp walls and in stairwells, etc. Estimated Price Range: $5 - $10 million WMATA DBE Participation Goal: 31% Solicitation (drawings and specifications): Invitation for Bids is comprised of 3 books: Book 1 - Bidding and Contracting Requirements Book 2 - Technical Specifications Book 3 - Drawings Solicitation Documents, including amendments and communications if any, will be available in Adobe Acrobat pdf format on the WMATA and FedBizOps websites, WMATA.com and FBO.gov. Bidder is responsible for check either of the websites regularly for securing downloads of amendment and other communications. Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit: A pre-bid conference/site visit will be held at 9:00 a.m. on December 12, 2012 at Jackson Graham Building (JGB), 600 5th Street N.W., Washington, D.C., 20001, Lobby Level Board Room. Pre-Bid Site visits are scheduled at each of the three (3) sites as follows: Site Visit will be held on 12/12/12 at Vienna (South) Parking Garage, 9550 Saintsbury Dr. Fairfax, Va. 22031. 1p.m.-3p.m. Site Visit will be held on 12/13/12 at Suitland Parking Garage, 4500 Silver Hill Rd, Suitland, Md. 20746. 9a.m. - 11a.m. Site Visit will be held on 12/13/12 at Southern Parking Garage, 1411 Southern Ave. Temple Hills, MD 20748. 1p.m. - 3p.m. Bids Due: Bids must be received as stated in the Invitation for Bid which is currently no later than 2:00 p.m. on January 23, 2013 at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 600 Fifth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001.
