- Request for Information / Sources Sought Invitation for Industry Comments THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This Request for Information (RFI) is for market research and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Regional Contracting Office - Alaska. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue a RFP. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regards to its submission; other than acknowledgement of receipt - if a request for an acknowledgement is requested by the submitter. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All submissions become the property of the Government. The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources that may be interested in and capable of performing the work described and to solicit industry feedback relative to various aspects of the proposed contract effort. The results of this RFI will be compiled and analyzed to design a Basic Purchase Agreement (BPA) to service the Internet / Television needs of the various customers on Fort Wainwright and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The Regional Contracting Office - Alaska has a requirement for cable TV and high speed internet services at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 515210-Cable and Other Subscription Programming. The small business size standard is set at a maximum of $35.5 million dollars annually. Work/Service consists of installing and providing cable TV and high speed internet services for both of the installations to include running new cable and/or additional drops for services, providing repair and updates as needed for continued service. All cable boxes and modems will be provided by the Vendor. Modem speeds will vary according to what the customers' needs are going to be so we will be asking for different package deals with varying modem speeds for upload and download of data. The Provider must be capable of providing uninterrupted service through extreme weather conditions, low temps and high winds. The number of drops required on each Installation will vary. Each Unit currently has their own contract for Internet / TV but as their contract comes to an end then that Unit will be added to this BPA so therefore the ultimate number of drops on this BPA will constantly be increasing.
