- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, SFLC-CPD C&P2-IBCT PL, proposes to contract the planned dry-dock and repairs of USCGC WIRE (WYTL-65612), a 65' "C Class" Small Harbor Tug, home-ported out of Saugerties, NY. A Geographical Restriction is set at 175 nautical miles from the Cutter's homeport of Saugerties, NY. All work shall be at the Contractor's facility during the period of 29 May 2013 through 10 July 2013. Work items include but are not limited to: Hull Plating (U/W Body), Ultrasonic Testing; Appendages (U/W), Leak Test, Internal, Preserve; Propulsion Shafting, Remove, Inspect, Straighten, & Re-install; Propulsion Shaft Bearings (External), Check Clearances; Propeller, Remove, Clean, Inspect, Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning & Re-install; Vent Ducts (Engine and Motor Room All), Commercial Cleaning; Sea Strainers - Simplex, Overhaul & Renew; Halon 1301 Fire Extinguishing System Cylinder, Inspect & Test; Rudder Assembly, Remove, Inspect & Re-install; Boat Davit, Level 2 Inspect & Repair; Cathodic Protection - Zinc Anodes, Renew; Dry-docking; Temporary Service, Provide; Deck Covering (Wet/Dry), Seal; Hull & Structural Plating - 15.3 Pound, 10.2 Pound & 7.65 Pound Steel Plate, Repair; Hull & Structural Plating - Cracked Steel Welds, Repairs; Hull & Structural Plating - Degraded Weld (Steel), Repair; Fathometer Transducer, Renew; U/W Body, Preserve 100%; Keel Coolers, Clean, Inspect & Hydro; Decks Exterior, Prepare & Coat, Pre Slip-resistant Sheet Installation; Fore Peak Deck Repair; Longitudinal Frame Renew. On or about 18 January 2013, a Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This is a Total Small Business set-aside procurement. Only certified 100% small business contractors may submit a proposal. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees.
