- The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to conduct a major renovation and upgrading of a one story building, including new drywall partitions, new roofing, new HVAC, new plumbing, and new electrical including lighting and data. A partial relocation of, and addition to, the existing sprinkler system is included in this project. New work at interior includes drywall partitions and fur-downs, toilet room fixtures including all required plumbing, toilet room stalls and accessories, doors, frames and hardware, ceilings and grid, finishes throughout including paint, carpet, vinyl base, vinyl composition tile, porcelain tile with base. New exterior construction includes brick infill at exterior walls, concrete walks, pavement striping, canopy, new roofing with new roof penetrations. HVAC work includes new air cooled water chiller, pumps, and five air handling units, including ductwork, control, and associated electrical are part of this project. Interior HVAC work includes all new ductwork, grills, diffusers, and controls. Electrical work includes new circuiting for convenience outlets and lighting, new data outlets, new and updated fire detectors and alarms, new lightening protection system, and new convenience power poles. As part of this project, Contractor is to provide and connect a temporary packaged air conditioner and generator. The Telephone Exchange will remain in operation during renovation. Because of this, the work has been divided into five phases, with some phases overlapping. These phases must be done in the order specified. Additionally, asbestos and lead based paint encapsulation and abatement is a part of this project. A contractor provided security guard will be required for some phases of the work. Contractor will be required to provide storage pods for government equipment, and to move and then re-install all such equipment. Dust barriers will be required at all telephone switching areas. This acquisition will be a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) Set-Aside with no geographical restrictions, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible SDVOB sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220. The size standard is $33.5 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.eps.gov on/or around 04 Feb 13 with a tentative closing date of 5 Mar 13. The contract performance period will be 280 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. CCR Registration may be accomplished online at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in CCR in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov.
