Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a cost plus fixed fee Order under NAVAIR Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Number N00019-11-G-0001 for the refabrication/replacement of tooling for the USN F/A-18 Aircraft. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this Order on a sole source basis with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516. Boeing is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the USN F/A-18 Aircraft and as such, is the only firm with the knowledge, experience, technical data, facilities and test equipment necessary to perform the complete design, development, and integration for the USN F/A-18 Aircraft for the purposes of meeting the fleet's operational needs. See Numbered Note 22.
