- This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. The NAICS code is 492110 and the Size Standard is 1,500 employees. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a small business set-aside is possible. Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) is seeking qualified sources to provide non-personal services of specimen transportation - From: Tripler Army Medical Center 1 Jarrett White Rd Honolulu, HI 96819 To: 921 Terry Ave Seattle, WA 98104-1256 Type of Contract - The Government intends to award a Firm, Fixed-Price contract for a base period of April 1, 2013 through September 30, 2013 with four (4) one-year options to the successful offeror. Contract Requirements - The successful offeror(s) will be required to perform these services within the following constraints: 1. Contractor must be available 365 days per year or 366 days on leap years. 2. Contractor must be able to report to Tripler Army Medical Center, Second Floor loading dock within two (2) hours of receiving notification that a shipment is ready to be picked up. 3. Contractor must be able to accommodate a maximum of two (2) Collins box containers with dimensions of 24 quote mark X 24 quote mark X 24 quote mark weighing a maximum weight of 300 pounds 4. Contractor must be able to meet International Air Transportation Association (IATA) regulatory guidelines to ship and receive blood and blood products. All qualified sources are invited to submit capability statements that substantiate their experience and qualifications in performing services within five (5) business days from the date of this notice. Interested firms shall indicate if they have provided similar services to military medical treatment facilities and/or the general public under terms and conditions similar to those stated in this notice. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, and telephone number, point of contact (POC), and brochures which will allow the Government to understand your service offerings and options. Capability statements should be submitted to the attention of Ms. Penelope Parnes, Contract Specialist, Pacific Regional Contracting Office, 160 Krukowski Road, Tripler, HI 96859; email penelope.a.parnes@us.army.mil. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 22 January 2013 at 12:00 PM Hawaiian Standard Time.
