Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City intends to award a Frim Fixed Price Purchase order. This requirment is an upgrade to the current Differential Global Postioning System (DGPS) mounted in FAA's BE-300 Flight Inspecition Aircraft and Hangar 9. This upgrade in equipment is an enhancement to Global Positioning System that uses a network of fixed, ground-based reference stations to broadcast the difference between the positions indicated by the satelite systems and the known fixed positions. These stations broadast the difference between the measured satelite pseudo ranges and actual (internally computed) pseudo ranges, and receiver stations may correct their pseudo ranges by the same amount. This requirment will update the BE-300PL DGPS and Hangar 9 Base Station DGPS. Operational Test and Evaluation and unertainty assessment of the AFIS Rev T have been interrupted and delayed by the inability of the DGPS to ahieve and maintain RTK Fixed. RTK provides the accuracy that is required to support uncertainty assessment. Currently the DGPS RTK Fixed cannot be maintained during local flights in OKC or other locations. When the RTK Fixed is lost during flight, it is rarely regained prior to landing. This is a Request for Quote All quotes are due by 5:00 pm Central Standard Time on February 6, 2013. This RFQ is not to be construed as a contract or a commitment of any kind. The Government shall not be liable for payment of any const attributed to the preparation and submission of proposals. Therefore any cost associated with the proposal submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. Proposals from unsuccessful offerers will not be returned to the offerer. Proposal originals will be retained in the contract file. The Contracting Officer will destroy all other copies. Only one proposal from each offer shall be considered. The FAA reserves the right to reject, as unacceptable, proposals deleting or altering technical requirments.
