Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing an Invitation for Bid for construction services to Correction Emergency Electrical System Deficiencies in Building 22 at the VA Medical Center San Francisco located at 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121. This solicitation is for a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available in the near future. Offeror will be required to submit bother a pricing proposal. Solicitation will contain proposal instructions. General Construction: The VA would like to segregate the Card Key Access Control System, Fire Alarm Control System and METASYS Control System equipment. Currently this equipment has been installed on Normal Power Panels or Emergency Lighting Panels in Building 2 and 200. There are seven (7) new panel locations for Building 2, and four (4) new panel locations for Building 200. In each of these ten (10) locations the contractor will provide a 15kVA, 480V/277V transformer and 12 circuit 208V/120V panels with 50A Main Circuit Breaker. #12 wire from 480V feeder panel to Transformer, #6 wires from Transformer to 120V panel. Each panel should include 20A breakers for existing equipment and spare breakers to fill out the 12 circuits. The contractor should provide all necessary materials and labor to demolish existing conduits and run new conduit and feeds from the existing loads to the new emergency panels. Contractor shall also provide any core drilling that needs to be done in order to bring feeds to floors where no new panels will be installed (Building 2 6th floor, Building 200 Basement/Penthouse). Contractor will provide labeling for all panels, transformers and existing loads. All panel locations within electrical closets will need to be reviewed and cleared through the COR to ensure no confliction with the facilities on-going electrical upgrades. The magnitude for this project will be between: $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00
