- Description
- NOAA's National Ocean Service, Office of National Marine Sanctuaries has a requirement for emergency dock salvage/removal services. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, and equipment necessary to perform the emergency salvage/removal services. The period of performance commences with contract award and concludes as weather and conditions permit. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238990 and the size standard is $14 million. The work will be described and assigned in the Statement of Work, any of which are subject to change at the Government's discretion upon issuance of the solicitation. Some of the potential requirements are the following: Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 - The contractor must provide a firm fixed price for 1 lump sum to provide all personnel, equipment, and facilities necessary to conduct emergency salvage of a 65 foot x 20 foot x 7.5 feet, 185 ton dock from the outer Washington state coast in accordance with the Statement of Work. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0002 (Optional Item) - The contractor must provide a firm fixed price for 1 lump sum to provide all personnel, equipment, and facilities necessary to perform a full hydrographic survey of the area centered on the salvage site and extending 1.75 nautical miles along the shore in each direction from the 12-fathom contour shoreward to as close as can reasonably be surveyed, with the outputs of an IMO standard that can be submitted to NOAA's Office of Coast Survey for eventual inclusion in nautical charts in accordance with the Statement of Work. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0003 (Optional Item) - The contractor must provide a firm fixed price for 1 lump sum to provide all personnel, equipment, and facilities necessary to perform a sounding survey of the potential egress route(s) with sufficient soundings to effectively define a suitable egress route(s). These optional items are at the discretion of the government pending funding availability in accordance with the Statement of Work: All responsible and fully responsive sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. Any resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract. Solicitation documents will be made available for download on or around January 18, 2013 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [Add To Watchlist] and [Add Me To Interested Vendors] features which provide a notification when the RFP becomes available for download as well as all postings of information associated with this solicitation, thereafter.
