Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to Huntington Ingalls Industries, Ingalls Shipbuilding Division (Ingalls), Pascagoula, MS, for post-delivery availability planning and support services to include Post-Delivery Availability (PDA), Fitting-Out Availability (FOA), Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) and emergent work as well as the accomplishment of the PDA, FOA, and emergent work on LHA 6 (AMERICA). The scope will include engineering, production and management efforts to support the post-delivery period for the BOA, beginning 12 months prior to ship delivery through the Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy (SCN) Obligation Work Limiting Date (OWLD). Ingalls, as the construction yard for the LHA 6, is the only source with the requisite knowledge of LHA 6 Flight 0 drawings, design specifications, configuration, systems, anticipated deferred work and unique requirements to efficiently and effectively execute the scope of work. The Orders issued under the Basic Ordering Agreement will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
